行星齿轮传动与普通齿轮传动相比，它其具有体积小、质量轻、结构紧凑和传动效率高等优点，还有就是在传递动力时它可以入行功率分流，同时，其输入轴与输出轴具有同轴性，即输出轴与输入轴均设置在同一主轴线上，所以，行星齿轮传动现已被人们用来代替普通齿轮传动，作为各种机械传动系统中的减速器、增速器和变速装置尤其是对于那些要求体积小、质量小、结构紧凑和传动效率高的航空发动机、起重运输、石油化工和兵器等的齿轮传动装置以及需要变速器的汽车和坦克等车辆的齿轮传动装置，行星齿轮传动已得到了越来越广泛的应用。

Planetary gear transmission compared with the ordinary gear transmission,
it has small size,light weight,compact structure and high efficiency transmission. Furthermore,it can join the power split when in the transmission of power,and the input shaft and output shaft is coaxial,that is to say the output shaft and input shaft are set in the same axis line.Therefore,the planetary gear transmission has been used to replace the ordinary gear transmission ,as a reducer in a variety of mechanical transmission system,accelerator and the gearshift device,especially those requiring small size,light weight,compact structure and high efficiency transmission ,such as aircraft engines,lifting and transportation, petrochemical and weapons those gear transmission device.and also the cars and tanks ,and other vehicles with the need of gear transmission device.Planetary gear transmission has been increasingly widely used.
